Happy Hour

22 Feb in Holland V, outside Eski Bar - Me, Weishang and Xiuqin

After dinner at Thai Express in Holland V, we went first to Eski Bar. However, the feeling that we were being ignored made us cross over to Wala Wala which is opposite. Wala Wala was filled with expats who had powerful vocal cords, I guessed. They could talk really loudly.

And this was what I ordered. I could get another one under their Happy Hour promotion.

Weishang, Cindy and Xiuqin with their drinks.

It was after the first glass that I felt that my face was warm. Then, the heat spread to the neck level. It was not the case the last time I had this much of beer. In the end, I could only finish 1 and a half glass. Guess who finished the remaining half?

Who else other than the 酒鬼! See, she was so high that only the forth shot was successfully taken.

Cindy and her Chocolate Martini. She was high merely after this small glass of cocktail.

I was feeling rather drowsy after the first glass and the feeling was uncomfortable. It was the feeling that you get after taking those cold or flu tablets when your head become very heavy.

It was a wonderful experience for the 4 of us. I have decided that if I am going to chat the whole night, I would go for coffee or cocktail at most. Having beer while I chat is too much to bear.

Acknowledgement: Cindy and Xiuqin for the pics.

A movie to remember

This is indeed a moment worth remembering.

Brokeback Mountain is my first R21 movie since I turned 21.

I watched it alone on 21 Feb Tue in Cineleisure, alone. Yes, alone cos not many of my friends are 21.

I am glad my first R21 movie is by a respectable and reputable director and although the theme of the movie is controversial, it is of good taste. The music is nice, the cast is young and good-looking, the movie is touching and worth my every 7 bucks. I will tell you more about how I feel about the movie if I have time after next week.

Catch this movie if you can and if you are prohibited to do so by law, please seek advice from Lijia ;-)
