Curse of the Bottomless Pocket
I went to catch Curse of the Golden Flower at 9.30pm at Jurong Point just a few hours ago. Tell you all my comments when I have time. But you can guage my response from the title of this post right?

To those holding on to a clipboard outside Boon Lay MRT station:
1) Please do not collect personal information of your respondents to serve the commercial purposes of your company in the name of "doing survey". This is not only unethical but despicable. You are wasting the precious time of those who thought you are "just trying to do a survey", not peddling some investment plans.
2) Please do not rattle on and on if the passers-by you approached are truly annoyed, evident verbally and physically.
3) Please try some new phrases to catch the attention of passers-by who may be sympathetic enough to stop for you. It is SO cliche to ask "Are you a student?", "Is this your first time coming to Boon Lay MRT Station?" (Come on! I walked past here so many times that I cannot remember!) "Do you have a P**B account?" (Why should I tell you? Who do you think you are?)and "Hey 美女!可以帮我做一个survey 吗?" (How many times did you call the other girls 美女?).
4) I am a POOR student dependent on my parents for accommodation and food. What makes you think I can afford your investment plan if you know very clearly that I am a student?
5) Even a mediocre business student like me knows the purpose of your survey, looking at what your questions are. Why do you need my contact number and income level? You are not contributing to the national census, are you?
6) Please do not try to approach me again if you see me rejecting your colleagues just a second ago. I am not a very nice person.
7) Do not even attempt to approach me!
The truly annoyed passer-by,

So many performances to catch, so little money... The economists are right - we have unlimited wants but limited resources.

I will be going to the Huayi Festival for 3 consecutive years. I am posting this because I don't want to watch the performances alone for 3 consecutive years. You know how hard it is to get friends to go to arts performances?
These shows are on my "to-watch" list, but there are some other shows that I am considering. That will really depend on my budget next year.

What is a pram with a baby doing, outside the shop in Bugis Junction where the teenagers gathered to have their photos taken? A hip mum trying to take a photo with her elder daughter?
I observed discretely afar, sipping my milkshake.
A group of eight teenagers came out from the shop and walked towards the pram. They gathered around the baby. A girl rested her elbow on the handle of the pram and another was playing with the baby.
I tried to decipher and understand the scene right before my eyes. The baby. The girl leaning on the pram. The group of teenagers.
The teenagers are barely 16 year-old. I guess they are only about 14 or 15. The girls in the group giggled like any girls of their age. The boys talked loudly in their half-manly voice. Their behaviour and attire said everything - they are very young indeed. But the girl and the baby? My heart sank.

Even the horse has a golden mane!
Look! They have that golden thing also!
The chicken have it too!
Look closely.
Check them out at the Citylink passage way to the Esplanade.

A thick stack of notes always goes well with a cup of cappuccino.
When you are tired, just let your eyes stray.
When you are bored, just marvel at the sight above.
