I will treasure my food from now on

In case u can't read the words below the picture:
The photo in the mail is the Pulitzer Prize-winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudan famine. The photo depicts a famine stricken child crawling towards an United Nations food camp, located a kilometer away.
The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat it. The picture shocked the whole world. No one knows what happened to the child, including the photographer Kevin Carter who left the place as soon as the photograph was taken.
Three months later he committed suicide due to depression.
This remains me of Darwinism. Only the fittest survives in this world.
According to Wikipedia - Darwinism is a term for the underlying theory in those ideas of Charles Darwin concerning evolution and natural selection. Discussions of Darwinism usually focus on evolution by natural selection, but sometimes Darwinism is taken to mean evolution more broadly, or other ideas unassociated with the direct work of Darwin.
Will you treasure what is served on your dining table after you see this? Will you still want to go for buffet when you know someone somewhere is dying of hunger?

Yea, I agree with you that people should treasure their food more...
Alas, 很多人生在福中不知福。。。
And on your point about how human society still perhaps operate by the law of "survival of the fittest", well, is that the kind of society we want...? If not, what are we doing about it...?
