All's Well

It's been more than a week since my last entry on 16 May. I am busy "blogging" (according to my NTU supervisor for attachment), writing logbook for my work.

I am just writing to tell all my friends reading my blog, that I am still in one piece after my third week of attachment. My work progress is slightly behind time but it is fine, I will work hard to catch up. I am in a small and cosy office with another 3 colleagues and I go for lunch with 2 of them everyday. It is very lucky for me that I don't need to do clerical or manual work and I am left mostly on my own, working on the given project. The NTU lecturer supervising me had visited me and jested that I am happy working there. He did not tell me this but my supervisor in the organisation said that to me after she met with him. Yep, I am treasuring this learning opportunity. I can only say that my attachment could not have been better with good relationship with fellow colleagues, nice supervisors from the organisation as well as the NTU side and no photocopying and coffee-making assignments.

Some of my friends are surprised that ITE as a government body needs marketing staff. I belong to ITE no doubt. The organisation is actually called ITE Holding Pte Ltd and I am attached to ITE Education Services Pte Ltd (ITEES), its subsidiary. As you can see, ITE has its private company too. We are the only revenue-generating part of ITE ok! ITE as a government body is not set up to be profitable. However, ITE (the one providing post-sec education) HAS its marketing division mind you. That's how they got their "Thinking Hands" campaign and all these. But I shan't comment on this bunch of **** people.

haa... =s thinking hands.. i think next they'll come up with walking brains or something... >.< but i suppose ite is now more seen as a place where older people can continue their edu instead of just a place where pple who can't study go to...
